We support a number of organisations, at home and abroad, that seek to be a blessing to people and places. We call these our Good Cause” for the month. For 2019 this will include:

January – Nightstop (Nightstop provides emergency accommodation for homeless young people (18-25) and helps them secure the resources they need to move forward with their lives)


February – Gideons (Gideons place Scriptures, free of charge, in the traffic lanes of life – Hotels; Guest Houses; B&Bs; Hospitals; Care and Nursing Homes; Schools ; Colleges and Universities; the 3 Emergency Services and the Military. God’s word does not return empty, but always achieves the purpose for which it is sent, and many millions have found comfort in receiving or using a copy of the Scriptures.)


March – Bingley Beacon Projects (Bingley Beacon Projects Ltd is a Social Enterprise run by volunteers. It was set up by Bingley Baptist Church to run projects for the benefit of the community. The company currently has two projects: A Contact Centre providing a safe environment for parents no longer living with their children to meet and play with them, and it acts as an umbrella organisation to provide support for local community projects local community projects that are too small to warrant setting up bank accounts etc


April – Latin Link (Latin Link works with local Christians across Latin America to meet a diverse range of needs, from caring for street children to training church leaders; from supporting prisoners to generating employment opportunities.)



May – Zephaniah Trust (The Zephaniah Trust exists primarily to take the message of Jesus into schools in and around Bradford. They use music and the arts as a means of engaging and communicating with children.)




June – Kabanda Trust (The aim of The Kabanda Trust is to improve the lives of children living in poverty in Uganda by tackling the barriers to health and education. The main focus of the work is at the Rock of Joy Children’s Centre in Lungujja , Kampala.)



July – Wycliffe (The vision of Wycliffe Bible Translators is to see the Bible made accessible to all people in their own language. They are working towards seeing a Bible translation programme in progress in every language still needing one by 2025.


August – Operation Christmas Child (Operation Christmas Child provides gifts in shoeboxes to needy children around the world.)




September – BMS Harvest Appeal (BMS (Baptist Missionary Society) works to transform the lives of people in fragile states, among the world’s most marginalised people, on four continents.)




October – CAP (Christians Against Poverty is a charity based in Bradford. It offers free, friendly services to anyone who wants to get out of debt and poverty.)




November – Teen Challenge (Teen Challenge  works on the streets and has Christian Rehabilation Centres to help  people trapped  in alcohol or drug abuse. Horizon Life Training is part of the journey back to work and normal life for those who have become Christians and are free from addiction.)


December – Zambesi Mission (Zambesi Mission which is a missionary society that  works in Malawi and Northern Mozambique. It supports the Evangelical Bible School of Malawi to equip its graduates to minister to the needs of the church and society in Malawi.)
